Li Shi (Cisilee), born in Guangdong in 1990, graduated from the School of Art and Design, Shenzhen University, majoring in Environmental Art Design and currently resides in Shenzhen; she worked as an illustrator after graduation and became an independent artist in 2018, whose creations consistently explore diverse interpersonal bonds, from her early series Green-Cheeked Figures to the Lonely Forest series, she has long adopted her distinctive artistic language to visualize all kinds of human relationships. Take Distant Forms of Bondage from the Lonely Forest series as an example, she transforms kinship, friendship, selfhood and connections with the environment into distinct visual shapes, condensing the entanglements and predicaments that people frequently face within a single spatial scene.
